The difference between relative and absolute accuracy

Accuracy is a commonly used term but is often not understood. The dictionary definition is “the condition or quality of being true, correct, or exact; freedom from error or defect; precision or exactness; correctness”, in simple terms accuracy refers to how close a measurement is to the true value. In relation to survey, accuracy is often referred to in the context of Relative Accuracy and Absolute Accuracy.
